This is the relationship between color types of your ships and pirates. 1 color type is stronger against another color type. Ships and pirates are determined and defined by their role in battle. There are four types of ships and pirates in the game.
Assault Type pirates like Kasha are displayed with Green frames. Their main purpose is to deal with enemy forces.
Armor Type pirates are displayed with Blue frames. Their main purpose is to increase your fleet's defenses against enemy forces.
Artillery Type pirates are displayed with Red frames. Their main purpose is to decimate enemy ships and provide artillery support.
Support Type pirates are displayed with White frames. Their main purpose is to heal or reinforce your pirates and/or ships.
As illustrated in the diagram above, there is a correlation between pirate and ship types. Pirates and ships inflict an increased and receive a reduced amount of damage whenever dealing with a certain type they are strong against. On the other hand, Support Types are excluded from this relationship, for they have no weaknesses or strengths against a particular type.
Bonus Attack Power
When a stronger attribute attacks a weaker attribute, there is an additional attack bonus added to the damage and thus higher damage can be dealt.
Green vs Blue
Lets say Green pirate has 1,000 damage.
When attacking a Blue pirate it will deal:
Total Damage = 1,000 + x
Where "x" is the bonus damage from the color advantage. The damaged dealt will be higher than 1,000.
Green vs Red
If Green pirate has 1,000 damage.
When attacking a Red pirate it will deal:
Total damage = 1,000 - x
Where "x" is the penalty from the color disadvantage. The damaged dealt will be lower than 1,000.
